Milwaukee Road RPO-Express Car $30.00
The Milwaukee Road built six RPO-Express cars for the Olympian Hiawatha in early 1947. They were numbered 1208 to 1213. A larger group of cars built to the same floor plan were constructed for general service in November 1947 and were numbered 1214 to 1230. Both sets of cars contained a 30 foot mail compartment and also a 41 foot express area.
The shell casting fits on a Kato Olympian Hiawatha baggage-dormitory car chassis and makes a great addition to the set.
